We're excited to welcome to you Alpine Ridge Alpaca farm for a visit, a stroll, or a photo shoot! Whatever brings you to us, we welcome you with open toes!
A private tour for up to 8 guests. Get to know the gang, up close and personal. Learn about their unique personalities, while hand feeding them!
Who doesnt love a little llama with their photo shoot? Enjoy the peace and serenity that these beautiful creatures provide, while cuddling with them in front of a professional lense.
A party without an Alpaca is just uninspiring! Why not surround yourselves with lustrous llamas and amazing alpacas for your retreat, corporate event, or social gathering?
When you arrive, we will first meet these adorable, fluffy animals. Before we start, we'll review a few safety rules to ensure a fun and secure experience for both you and the animals.
You will learn how to handle your alpaca safely, and then the walking adventure will begin. We'll leave the barn and stroll along the beautiful trails on the property (a 1km walk). During the walk, you will get to know each alpaca and quickly learn their unique personalities. There will be plenty of opportunities to take selfies and enjoy the stunning scenery.
After the walk, you'll have the chance to meet the Lloree Llamas. If you’re lucky, you might even get a nose kiss from Todd! This experience has a magical way of turning stress into peace and takes approximately one hour. Come and experience it for yourself—you might just fall in love with these incredible creatures as quickly as I did.
Your tour includes some treats for your new friend, but don’t forget to save some for the Lloree Llamas! We look forward to sharing this enchanting adventure with you!
PLEASE NOTE
We have a limited number of alpacas available for walking. Therefore, if your group is larger than four people, the alpacas will be shared. This experience was designed to be personal and private for small groups.
restrictions
We welcome families to our farm with certain age restrictions and rules in place for certain activities, to keep children safe and to ensure the well-being of our llamas and alpacas.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and will not be able to lead the herd by their reins. They will enjoy their experience with these safety measures in place.
Approach them with a slow pace and a calm demeanor
Talk in a smooth and calm voice.
Keep your hands flat when touching an Alpaca. Grabbing them or their fiber makes them think you are a predator.
Touch the Alpaca on top of its back, shoulders, and sides of it's neck. These are their favourite touch points.
Ask the Handler about their preferences - just like people, they have their own personal likes and dislikes
Touch or feed the animals without asking permission first
Touch their head, hindquarters, tail or toes
Grab or hug them - this is very frightening for them.
Stand behind them - like many animals, they may reflexively kick you if they sense you or are startled by you.
Be afraid - these are the most loveable, gentle, and entertaining animals. They are just as excited to meet you as you are them!
