lluka

He is the one that started this whole dream and the reason for all my pets. There is something about this llama that stole my heart. You will often see Lluka standing in the field glaring off in the distance. He is always on the lookout for predators which makes him a good guardian llama. Since  he has proven himself to be a guardian, he stays in his pasture and overlooks the farm. Lluka loves snacks and will allow anyone to feed him. He loves watermelon, cucumbers, carrots, strawberries, apples, bananas, kale and I am sure there is more.

gotcha day - january 2, 2022

denver

Denver is my oldest and one of my first alpacas. He is approx 13 years old but he is definitely one handsome boy. He does takes awhile to warm up to people and is a bit on the quiet side - I like to consider him the introverted one! He can be bit of a lone wolf and I often find him chilling in the pasture by himself. He has the cutest old man nose hairs - #boyproblems!

GOTCHA DAY - JANUARY 2, 2022

alex

At 12 years old, he is a bit of a hippie. He is never in a rush to get anywhere. Everything will happen when it needs to happen. Alex doesn’t like violence and his popular phrase is “make love not war”. Alex is always eating something. He is no stranger to snacks with something always hanging out of his mouth. And is very pushy when grain is involved. If you have a treat in your hand, he will be your best friend. On the walks he enjoys himself greatly by taking the scenery in and will often stop and nibble away at some grass.

llewis

Llewis grew up on a 1200 acres cattleranch in Alberta with a lot of other llamas. With this said, Llewis has a bit of a wild side. Before he became one of my beloved pets, he hadn’t had much interaction with humans. Even with no real human interaction in the first several years of his life, He is still very curious of people and will often sniff me when I sit in the field. It is my goal to work with him more and get him halter trained, l however I feel he will always have a bit of ‘wild’ in him.

Birthday - july 3, 2017

KAMERON

I remember first seeing Kameron and thought ‘I need to have him” and fate allowed that to happen. Kameron is very calm and curious. Most of the time he is the first one to approach me in the field, but I feel it's because he thinks I have treats for him. Kameron can be a bit of a pig when it comes to his minerals and grain. He does not allow any of the other alpacas to partake in the minerals or grain until he has had his share.

zoltan

Zoltan has a very chill nature about him as there is not too much that bothers him. He is never in a rush, and just calmly goes wherever the wind takes him. The only thing that he is very particular about is making sure his moustache is always on point.

todd

Todd has a very sweet personality. He is very curious and will often come up to anyone that wants to interact with him. He loves to put his nose close to your face to either sniff or give nose kisses. He loves grain. He gets very excited over it. He does not like when his brothers fight and I will often see him trying to break up the fight and then run away. Todd is always very vocal and has a very unique scream. In fact, his cry was one of the reasons that lead to us finding them on their adventure.

earl

Earl is the watchdog for his group, he is the first one to go investigate when there  is a noise or when he sees something close to their pasture. He feels the most comfortable being around Alamender and for the most part I will see these two together. You see, even animals have besties!

Birthday - it's a surprise!

dodger

Dodger is the ring leader of the male crias this year. He is very inquisitive, loves to be able to wander the barn and check everything out, loves coming out for treats and attention. He is named after the petty thief "Artful Dodger" from the classic Charles Dickens book, Oliver Twist.

He is the leader of the alpaca herd. I see him watching from a distance over everyone. He likes to make sure everything is behaving and is safe. He has a very cute hum and he loves carrots. On our walks he often likes to relief his itches by walking through bushes.
